In order to enhance its values and significance via contributing to the improvement in
quality of life, and developing economy and culture, advertisement should play its role
as a means of sales promotion and support for a wise consuming.
For that purpose, profound and comprehensive studies must be done.
However, although Korea had a number of organizations relevant to advertising,
an advertising society in which advertising professionals could bond and
collaborate had never been existed. With the rising need for an advertising
society and awareness for its significant vacancy, a number of scholars and
specialists relevant to advertisement came to establish KAS at last.

This organization contributes to the improvement of advertisements and promotes
fratemity among its members via research and publishing of advertisements, theories and those in practice.
